It’s already August? Geez, where did the summer go? Seems like just yesterday I was wishing for Birkenstock weather and now I can’t wait for it to cool down so I can use my oven comfortably again.
My mom and little sister are going to be in town for a wedding this weekend, so I’m excited to spend some time with them before my sister has to go back to school. This is the moment where I would gush about the fact that I can’t believe she’s going to be in high school next month, but I’ll save you from the horrors.
Other than that, I got back into training this week so while my legs really hurt (ouch) – I’m starting to feel myself again. Nothing makes me feel more myself than a good bike ride.
Here’s this week’s favorites:
I have been obsessing over the bread we have been getting in our CSA box. It’s from Honey and Rye in St. Louis Park. We’ve been getting tons of different types every week, but my favorite has gotta be the garlic sourdough. Carbs for life.
3 ingredient chocolate brownies? I might just have to make these this weekend on account of having all the ingredients in my kitchen. My sweet tooth can be a problem, so I can get on board with something a little healthier but still indulgent.
Check out this tutorial for peel and stick subway tiles from A Beautiful Mess. Unfortunately as a renter this is not an option for me as Elsie say’s it will tear off your dry wall if you try to remove it… paint and pictures will have to do for now.
Speaking of paint colors, I’ve been drooling over Scott & Kim’s bedroom paint color on Yellow Brick Home, for the front room but also really love the green they’ve got in the nook.
And last but not least – I FINALLY got my chair that I am constantly talking about on Friday Favorites. So now, you can stop reading how obsessed I am about it. Can’t wait to share some photos once the apartment is cleaned up from moving in!
Happy Friday, folks!
